I personally like to watch films that have comedic elements, either that as being its main genre, or a film such as Easy A, to which comedic elements come with the genre. I also enjoy action movies, such as the Mission Impossible Series. Sci-fi films such as the Star Wars series and animated films such as the Shrek series, Finding Nemo, and Inside Out are good examples of movies I have enjoyed ever since they were initially released.
I go to the cinema roughly every few months, and I watch a range of films there. Many good films that I have enjoyed were released in 2016 to cinemas, so I have gone to the cinema more than I usually do, along with occasionally seeing a movie in the cinema more than once. Movie trailers are a big decider as to whether I see a film in the cinema, like many people. I don't particularly follow a specific genre, (although I do not enjoy horror films) it all comes down to each film in question, and whether the trailer would make me decide whether or not to go and watch it.
The teen angst genre, which is what I will be focusing on for my coursework, does in general appeal to me, however some films like Clueless and Mean Girls wouldn't as these films are aimed at a different target audience than I am in.
